St. Augustine Series
Living in St. Augustine for almost twenty years has given me an additional aesthetic boost, with the charm of the Old City (reminiscent of my New Orleans roots) and the vanishing scene of Lincolnville. These images of live oaks, nineteenth-century architecture and the city’s magnificent bayfront give me an opportunity to work with the sensual qualities of paint and glazing techniques. Incorporating pages from the local newspaper allows me to capture and preserve a specific moment in time.
